Baby "Aba" aka Ava

Zach and Tiffany moved to Las Vegas last fall because Zach got a job in pharmaceutical sales.  They had Baby Ava the beginning of February so we took advantage and made a little trip to see them.  It was a lot of fun and a lot warmer than what it was here.  We love Baby "Aba" (as Ashlyn would call her) we just wish they lived closer so we could see her (them) more often. :(

We had a lot of fun and need to go back for a visit.  Someone asked where Tiffany and Zach lived and Ryah chimed in and said, "They live three movies away."  It was kind of cute.  That is how we helped them gage how close we were since we drove.

She has gotten so big...and looks just like her dad

We ventured out to the aquarium and Mandalay Bay.

Ryah had to try on some new lipstick

This was supposed to be at the beginning, but
won't cooperate, so it's at the end.

Christmas Season 2012 - Part Two

The girls are at such fun ages which makes the holiday's a lot of fun.  Ryah is our child who loooves being with family and cousins so holiday's are her favorite with all the get together's.  She always asks what people are coming to dinner or who does she get to play with that day.  The way her and Keslee gage how many more days until something is they ask me how many more "sleeps" (nights)  they have.  This has been great because then I'm not bothered everyday as to whether or not it's time yet.  I try not to tell them of things too far in advance because that's too many "sleeps" for me to keep track of, but if there's only 5-7 "sleeps" it works perfectly.  The worse is when I mis-calculate and they think they're on the last "sleep."  I'm in trouble on that one and am asked why I don't know how to count or why I lied to them, like I did it intentionally or something.   Anyway, around the holiday's we have lots of "sleep" counting going on.

We visited the Ogden Christmas Village for Brynlee's birthday, the girls thought it was great.

Christmas Eve Jared's mom does a prime rib dinner for all of the family. It is a fun tradition and great to catch-up with other family members you only see a few times a year. Of course Ryah is in heaven and Keslee has started warming up to the idea. Ashlyn likes it, but I think the older cousins want to "mother" her and she is not about to be "mothered." She is very independent and thinks she's a big girl is capable of playing the same things everyone else is.

Frank and LaNae gave the girls the cutest pajamas
for their present.

The girls were so excited for Christmas this year. Ryah and Keslee wanted "Camerican" Girl Dolls and two beds. Ashlyn always asks for a baby so I took that as she wanted a baby for Christmas. We were at Jared's parents house for Christmas since we are living in their basement while we build our next house (which hopefully we can break ground beginning of June). The girls loved it and Jared's parents said Christmas morning wasn't so boring for them. :)

Kes loving her guitar.  This girl loves music and asks
to take guitar, drum, and fiddle lessons.

Ryah told me she was reading the "rerections" on
how to put her grocery store together. :)

Christmas Season 2012 - Part One

It's pretty sad Christmas is close to be 6 months away and I'm just barely getting around to posting.  Where did January, February, March, and April go???  I'm ready for the nice weather, but wow, those months went by way too fast.  My goal is to be caught up in the next few weeks, so we will see how that plays out. :)

The holidays (Thanksgiving to Christmas) were busy around our household as we had to be out of our house the middle of December.  Even though we moved into our house with the "bare necessities" it was still crappy having to pack it all up.

We went to Festival of Trees and Ashlyn was more entertainment than the performers.  She enjoyed copying every dance move taking place on stage.  Ry and Kes enjoyed the treats and the playhouses.  They have begged their dad numerous times to make them one.  None of the girls were interested in seeing Santa Claus, they wanted to wave "Hi" as we passed by.

Funny pic...but the only one with Jared in it to
show him for future years, that yes, he did come
with us to the Festival of Trees one year and he did
enjoy himself. :)

To say Keslee loves hugs would be an understatement.
This girls loooooves to be loved.  She could cuddle with me all
day on the couch and be perfectly content.  She asks a couple
times a day to sit on my lap and me just hold her.

Next we enjoyed another year at Snowbird for the annual ES3 Christmas Party.  It's fun to get away kidless and enjoy some time with just each other.

The girls did a cute Christmas performance for school.  They did sit on Santa's lap, but I think it is out of pure fear of possibly getting in trouble from their teacher if they didn't when their name was called...not that their teacher would have gotten mad at them...

It is now Christmas year around at our house because they have those songs drilled into their head.   Ashlyn loves Jingle Bells and sings that song constantly and the girls like to sing I want a hippopotamus for Christmas.  I love to listen to their version and mix-up of translation that takes place...it is priceless. :)  They did awesome and I'm so proud of both of them.

At the beginning of the program the teacher told the
boys and girls to keep their hands by their sides.  Keslee
was almost as stiff as board because she was so afraid about
moving her hands away from her side.  Toward the end of
the program she would put her hands behind her back, but
you would never find them wandering to play with her shirt
or up by her first...they were always where they were supposed
to be.  That little one has some anxiety I'm afraid and her poor
fingers are proof of that.  She picks them like crazy.
