Tis the Season for Boating

Have I ever mentioned I am definitely a fair weathered person??? I would be perfectly content relocating every winter to somewhere warm. I wish the warmness lasted more than a couple months. It seems to be happier in our home during the Spring/Summer time. We can all get out, soak up some Vitamin D, and have lots of fun options to choose from. Indoor play just hasn't measured up to outdoor play.
/ We ventured out on the lake the other week. Shout out to Taylor who mastered surfing without the rope. I still haven't gotten there. Last summer, boating/surfing wasn't in the picture for me so I'm trying to jump back on the ban wagon. We had a lot of fun...as we always do.

Dance Performance and Pre-School Graduation

Ryah was begging to take dance last year. To be honest, I didn't want to have another thing to commit myself to, not that I have a lot, but just being a mom is commitment enough sometimes. Anyway, we talked it about it for quite some time and decided to let her try it out half way thru the year. She really enjoyed, but has decided she likes tap a lot better than jazz/ballet. She had her big dance recital at Layton High. My sister was a dancer and told my mom how she always wished she would have gotten flowers like everyone else after her dance performances, so that is what Ryah was "awarded" with after her performance. She felt pretty special. You can tell by the pics, each one she made me wait while she posed herself differently.

We have plenty more, but I'm sure you get the idea :)

Ryah also made it thru her first year of pre-school. I was going to wait another year to send her, but plans changed. Miss Tami was great and Ryah really enjoyed school. Kes on the other hand would be perfectly content never having to socialize or talk to a teacher and would rather me home school her so she doesn't have to get out of her comfort zone at all. Seriously, that child becomes a mute. Sometimes Jared and I don't even exist in her world when we are out and about and someone tries to say something to her. Anyway...Ryah had a lot of fun and loved learning to write. She feels pretty big that she can write her own name, it's so cute to watch your kids grow-up, but so sad at the same time.

We love you Ry!
